TAUPO BMX CLUB – December 2011 Newsletter
• An extremely busy November and Decembers fundraising means we have been calling upon volunteers over and over again. Thank you to all those who have stepped up to help raise money to improve the infrastructure of the club for many to use and benefit from in the future.
• You all looked great at the Christmas Parade this year. Many people don’t realise Taupo BMX exists until they see us out and about.
• Wednesday the 21st of December will be the last night of racing for the year and the members prize giving.
Good (ride able) weather= 5.45pm fun races at the track and a move to the soccer clubrooms at 6.45pm Poor weather= 6.15pm prize giving at the soccer clubrooms. All will continue except fun rides. Please note that the bar will be open. Sausage and a drink provided to all Taupo BMX members and available to purchase for non members
• (Special visitor coming so be sure to bring along a named gift for your child/ren to go into a sack which will be located in points hut for when you arrive)
• A huge thank you to all the volunteers that worked at King of the Ring on the 3rd of December and the following morning. This added an additional $5000.00 to our ramp fund so thank you so much who have stepped forward to help. It was hard work but a pretty entertaining night!
• The gate code and database will change with the New Year so if you have not paid your code fee for 2012 ($20 members, $40 non members) please do this on Wednesday if you want to save tracking me down in the holidays. (Andrea-3772386 or 0272044407)
• Rotorua BMX recently had significant damage done by vandals. Please lock and scramble the code both when you are using our track and when you leave. Keep an eye out and report any damages or areas of concern at the track over the holidays.
• Our National Qualifying Meet is on Feb 12th 2012. Some hands on tidy up sessions will be required late Jan and early Feb. If you are home please make yourselves available. Many hands make light work. The dates are yet to be decided.
• First night back racing 18th Jan
