Hi all
Fantastic turn out in Rotorua on Sunday. Some real challenges for the younger riders re the jumps at the bottom of the start ramp. What troopers getting stuck in and learning a lot as well as having fun.
Steve Amrien has proposed an excellent idea for Gisborne that may convince the riders that were going to give the Gisborne leg of the Winter series a miss. Considering that is where the North Islands is being held and the track will be far more accessible to ride than at the pre North’s in Sept it is well worth considering.
-Car pooling on Saturday (13th August) morning (Laurie is looking into the Community van/minibus to travel together) Rain, hail or snow. The event will not be cancelled.
- Coaching with Steve at the Gisborne track Sat afternoon. A huge bonus to have coaching while getting the feel of that particular track in a relaxed non race day atmosphere. No surprises on race day like Rotorua track last weekend
-Staying at the Waikanae Holiday Park in cabin type accommodation that night which is already reasonably priced but will also give a reduced rate for group bookings (good playground, next to the beach)
-Racing on Sunday
It will be a fun, educational and excel prep for North’s weekend so Steve needs you to reply asap. Register your interest (even if you already put your hand up tonight at the meeting please) by e mail race @ taupobmx.org.nz or phone Steve 021898436 or 3773424
