To all fellow bike junkies, did you realize its only just over 4 weeks till Christmas, what a scary thought!! This is just a quickie newsletter to remind you all about your very important Bike Taupo memberships for 2015.  So, before you all get totally out of control with the mad Christmas rush, office parties and New Year holiday plans, remember to jump online from 1st December (not before) to renew your membership.  Go online here http://www.biketaupo.org.nz/membership.html fill in your info and we will post you out a groovy tag to pimp your ride. Or alternatively you can call into any bike store in town, Whitewater World or the Hub Cafe and join up there with cash payments only. Big thanks again to Tony at Taupo Lock and Key for his generous sponsorship of these tags, they will look great on our bikes 🙂

Also remember the membership form is a dual form combined with the Taupo Mountain Bike Club, this means you have the option of joining both Bike Taupo and the Mountain Bike Club for the same great price.  Bike Taupo supports the Mountain Bike Club with $15 of the adult sub and $20 of a family sub going to the Mountain Bike Club. Please tick the box on the form to join.

Dont forget also you can select your own personal tag number by donating to our give a little page, donations received via this page are going towards the building of the new "Budda" track, a downhill blast with structures and jumps for the ultimate thrill seeker! Please include your name and email in case the number you select has already gone. See details below.

Our Track crew have been very busy boys the last few weeks getting ready for the Cycle Challenge.  I am sure all you roadies will be praying for the wind to die down or at least hoping that it will be blowing in the right direction! The Huka is going to be a challenge this year as always, some big names coming to Taupo to race, sure it will be all very exciting to watch and be involved in, town will be a madhouse!! Mountain bike Club News

AGM tonight people!!

Taupo Yacht Club starting at 6pm, door sales available $10 each, this gets you your first drink free and nibbles during the night. Come along and find out what is in store for the club for next year. Gil Peters from MTBNZ will be there to share a few views and tell us about what MTBNZ is all about. There will be plenty of time to catch up with your riding buddies, so come along and show your support. Love to see you there!

BMX is BACK!

Thank you all for your patience while the work has been carried out at the track. The work is just about complete and we are please to announce that Club night will be happening on Wednesday night! See you at the track from 5.30pm for some much needed racing!

Sprocket training will be on from 5.30pm Monday at the track.

Lance’s training starts back this Tuesday at 5.30pm sharp
