Beyond the Edge - Movie Night

Beyond the Edge is a film about Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay's legendary ascent of Mt Everest in1953. Taupo BMX Club in association with Starlight Cinema is proud to host the premiere of this great movie on Thursday October 17th. Tickets will be available at the club on Sunday and also from Tech Central on Tamamutu Street from Monday onwards. Tickets are just $25 each which includes nibbles and a drink before the movie.

Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge

There is a new cycle event happening on the 30th November called 'The Lakesider' and we have been given the opportunity to help out. Like the King of the Ring, we stand to collect some good funds for the club, but only with YOUR help. We need people to help with marshalling and a few other jobs from 12pm till 3.30pm. King of The Ring Fundraiser

Taupo BMX Club has been lucky to be selected as one of the organisations who will benefit from this event. King of the Ring organisers will donate a sizeable sum to us and in return we need to supply 20 people to help at the event on the 6th December. Please, if you can help us out on the night of the 7th of December, again, please e-mail Anne-Marie now to register your interest. It is a great way to see the boxing and the entertainment for FREE! SPROCKETS

Sprocket Training

If anyone is willing to help Matt out on a Monday night from 5pm with Sprocket training, please let us know. This would suit a parent of a Sprocket and is easy to learn. All training comes from the Sprocket handbook. Info here: https://taupobmx.org.nz/kiwi-sprocket.html

Sprocket Plates

As previously sent out, BMXNZ are cracking down on the condition of Sprocket plates. In line with this directive, Taupo BMX Club will be enforcing the rule on a club level. Club Champs/Points

Starting on 9th October is the new Taupo BMX Club Champs. Every second Wednesday of each month will be Club Champs night. See the attached Flyer for information on how this will work. The previous points system will still run in parallel with the Club Champs.

Club Roster

Families are encouraged to check the roster and help out where they can. We would love everyone to become skilled in all aspects of the operation of Club Days. Please put your hand up to help! The roster is located here:http://www.taupobmx.org.nz/roster.html

Daylight Savings

The last Sunday club day will be on 22nd September with club days resuming on Wednesday the 2nd October with registration at 5.30pm and racing from 6.00pm.

Mighty 11's/Test Team

Thank you to the families who have replied and confirmed that their kids are trailing this year. We wish them the very best of luck. The club is working on an incentive for the trialists and will have more details soon.
