BMX New Zealand – Summer Series 2013

For the selection of Championship Riders to compete at the 2013 BMX World Championships in Auckland.

The Series will be undertaken over 5 events to be held at;

9 February 2013 - Sunset Coast BMX – Attewell Road, Pukekohe

  • Registration  9.00 am to 9.30 am
  • Practice          10.00 am to mid day
  • Time Trials    12.30 pm
  • Racing            1.30 pm


9 February 2013 -

16 February 2013 - 
Rotorua BMX Track – Te Ngae Road, Rotorua

  • Registration   9.00 am to 9.30 am
  • Practice           11.20 am – 11.50 am
  • Racing            12.00 pm (Mid day)


24 March 2013 - 
Cambridge BMX Track – Lamb Street, Cambridge

  • Registration   9.00 am to 9.30 am
  • Practice           11.20 am – 11.50 am
  • Racing             12.00 pm (Mid day)


29 March 2013 - Cambridge BMX Track – Lamb Street, Cambridge

  • Registration   8.00 am to 8.30 am
  • Practice           10.05 am – 10.35 am

Rounds
Rounds on 9 & 10 February are compulsory
Riders must complete 1 of the other 3 rounds to be eligible.

Classes offered:
Junior – Men and Women
Elite - Men and Women

Licence requirements:
Riders must hold a current BMX NZ licence.

Entry date:
Entries close 26 January 2013 – entry form & payment by this date.
Late entries – up until the close of registration on 9 February.

Series entry fee:
Standard Entry fee: $115.00
Late Entry fee: $230.00
GST receipts will be provided at registration.

Refunds:
No refunds will be provided for any reason. Registration will occur on the day of each event.

Registration:
Riders who have not presented their licence card at registration by the close of registration will not be permitted to practice or ride at the event.

Riders must present their current BMX NZ Licence card at the registration desk.

Seeding of Riders:
Where a Time Trial is held – based on the T/T results.
Where a T/T is not held – based on Series Points prior to the event.

Points:
8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1

Lane draw:
Random lane selection per seeding of riders into motos.

Race format:
Refer to www.uci.ch for race format details.

Minimum Class size:
Will be determined at the close of entries.

Number plates:
Riders must supply their own plate, which must of correct size and colour combination.

Series total:
Based on results from rounds 1 & 2 and the 2 best results from rounds 3, 4 and 5.

Amalgamated classes:
Series points will be calculated based on the class that is ridden – not in the class of entry.

Tiebreaker:
At the end of the series – if riders are tied on points – the winner will be the rider with the most number of 1st places, then the most 2nds and so on.
