Good luck to all Taupo BMX Club riders and Mighty 11's trialists who are competing at the 2013 Nationals over Easter in Cambridge. Taupo BMX Club has a record number of entrants this year which should see a great number of them qualifying for Worlds this year.
Tuesday Night Training
Due to safety issues with too many riders being on the track during training, from Tuesday 17th March, sprocket training will commence at 5pm through till 5.30pm. If sprockets want to use the gate after training, they are welcome (supervision and gate operator permitting), until the next training group starts at 6.00pm.
We then request that ALL riders apart from the ones training with Steve, vacate the track. This is to ensure that Sprockets and the advanced training group have a fair chance on the track and also enhances safety.. With Nationals and Worlds looming, preference will be given to those riders attending Nationals and Worlds.
Sprocket training will finish at Easter and will re-commence in summer. Huge thanks goes to Mel Weston, Laurie, Matt Harvey and all others that have helped with sprocket training.
Steve's training this week will be on Thursday night instead of Tuesday.
Club Nights - Club Days
With daylight savings ending, we are to change to Sunday afternoon meets from the 7th April with registration from 12.30 with racing at 1pm. Normally, BMX takes a break for a few months over winter, but we will try continue to run this year, weather dependent. If this changes, we will notify you all.
BMXNZ Nationals
Anne-Marie and Kate are team managers for the 2013 Nationals. They will organize the collection of number plates and are the first point of contact for any racing disputes that you may have. They are the people that will liaise with BMXNZ officials on your behalf. Remember that there is a very small window that is available if you have a query or dispute after a moto has finished. Only the team managers can deal with this for you.
You need to have your allocated plate on before practice. Anne-Marie will be in the Taupo tent from 9am on Friday 29th so that you can collect your plates.
We do not have a site plan available yet, so are unsure where our tent will be. As soon as it is available, we will notify you.
